About UsIt's always nice to get to know the people behind a website so here is a little bit about us. Gary was diagnosed with type one diabetes back in 1972 at the age of nine. He has always found it difficult to control his sugars and often runs high. Because of this he has many of the complications associated with poor control. As he has first hand experience of much of what you will find on this site he wanted to put together a comprehensive website on diabetes in the hope that it may help others to avoid the problems he has experienced. Because Gary has had a stroke and has lost the sight in both eyes, he needs help to build his site. His PA, Karen, does this for him.
